Stayed here for our anniversary and had a lovely time. |Pros - The staff were lovely and the food was delicious|Cons - if you stay in the cottages (5, 6 or 7) you have to walk round the corner from the main building on a busy narrow road. A …
We book Sunday lunch here, whilst touring for a weekend on a motorcycle, the weather turned, and we headed for the Ingham Swan early, the welcome was warm and we were invited to sit in a snug, waiting area with a drink.m whilst the team did their best to seat us early, which they did! The food was excellent, as was the service, and we were so impressed. We’ve booked again for Sunday lunch and an overnight stay on a dinner bed and breakfast package, highly recommended
The Swan is a very comfortable place to stay and is justly proud of its restaurant, the food there is very good. The accommodation is in a converted block adjacent to the main bar and restaurant building. Our room was very comfortable and sleep came easily to us.
Across the very adequate car park stands Immingham Church, an impressive building whose history dates back to the 1300s.
Our prime objective for staying there was it's proximity to Horsey Gap, an area well known by those who enjoy watching the local seals who use the beach for resting on Inbetween fishing trips. Although we did not use it, there is comfortable access to areas of the Norfolk Broads from The Swan
We were excited for a Family Birthday Celebration return visit.
Guinea foul portion very mean for £34, but tasted fine. Were not offered a drink until halfway through our meal. Crab gave our Mum food poisoning, which sadly made a very rough night for her. She rang the staff to let them know but no one cared, sadly spoiling the occassion.
Parking inadequate.
Worst of all though was that we were not told at the time of booking that the table had a second sitting and we were hurried away. We were glad to leave which is a shame as limited places to eat locally and we are unlikely to hurry back here.
Suggest Farmyard in Norwich for a better experience.
Quite possibly one of the best meals I have ever eaten, the service was 1st class. Hubert our server for the evening was professional, friendly, wonderful personality and made sure we were all happy with everything. At the end of our meal we went and sat outside one of our party forgot her wine (only a third if a glads) and we all assumed it would've been thrown, out popped Hubert with said wine asking if she would like it how about that for going above and beyond on a busy night?? I will definitely be going back (my 1st time and I am ashamed to say I only live 8 miles away!) I cannot praise this wonderful venue up enough well worth a visit.
We had a lovely stay here this weekend. The staff were so lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Particular shout out to the manager Isabella who looked after us so well. The room was beautifully decorated and despite being cosy up in the loft space, it was everything we needed. The breakfasts were lovely and the chef was very accommodating to my vegan diet. Highly recommend.
First. The food and service were amazing. We had the 7/8 course Taster Menu. Everything cooked and presented perfectly. Breakfast was small at first glance, but top notch ingredients meant it was very satisfying.
Second. Accommodation. We stayed in room 4 as it was part of the package. Very nice space tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer, fan, TV and a hanging rail. The bathroom was compact but usable. The shower cubicle was very compact. I'm 6'3" and 20stone. It made the shower an experience. But did not detract from the overall stay.
Small negatives.
One chair in the room for 2 people I never get why places do this.
Only a double bed where a king size would easily fit( I think some other rooms had larger beds). But again, it didn't impact our short stay
Will definitely be coming again.
Booked the restaurant for a birthday dinner well in advance. Arrived at 6.30 to be shown to our table which happened to be just inside the door. Consequently, each time someone walked past, my husband was disturbed. As the restaurant was …
